Here at last is the page you have been waiting for. :) I receive lots of "unit" studies for free from various internet resources. The ones that are most useful to me at this time are those that send physical copies of their materials as this is the most useful form to utilize with my children. Each of the listed resources are for materials that I have received. Those sites that are Christian are noted with a "*C".

Discovery Jones Expeditions *C

This is a club for the kids to join. A welcome packet with cool stuff for the child is sent in the mail.

Book Adventure

This is a reading club for kids. They read books and take quizzes and earn prizes. I get my books from the library to read to them. Noah can read the earlier books by himself now. My two older children have already earned free prizes from this site.

FEMA for Kids

Teaches kids about natural disasters. You can request various items to assist in teaching at home.

Potty Training Kit

This is obviously for the youngest of your children. :)

FEMA for Kids - another list at the same site

This list contains a few more resources that you can request, as well as the addresses to write to.

Free Posters *C

I haven't received these yet. If any of you get these, let me know so I can verify this as being received.

Head Lice

They send an information packet on head lice. It makes for a quick study of a health topic.

McGruff Comic Book

Take a bite of of crime with a free comic book.

The Puzzle Club *C

The Puzzle Club changes their free offers from time to time. We received a free book.

American Diabetes Association

This one is only for those families with a child who has diabetes.

American Coal Foundation

Gives one free teaching packet to teachers. There are three different grade levels.

Bernie's Book Club

Free Reading Adventure Pack.

Exploring Esturaries

Free posters from the EPA

Read to Feed

This is a good unit study to teach kids about people in need and give them a way to help others.

Kid Bear Club

I haven't received this one yet.

National Postal Museum

Materials for older kids can be ordered online for free.

Share the World

Understanding and appreciating animals.

Sonny Solar *C

This is another great way to teach children about helping others.

Spuddy Buddy

Cooking for kids.

USS Constitution

All Hands on Deck: Learning Adventures

Planet Protectors Club

Another great kit from the EPA. I requested the kit and then a few extra materials for the kids and received all of the materials in a matter of days.

I have many other resources to list. I will get to them as soon as I can. :)
